matchupgrid is a static website. There are no accounts, no logins and no forms to fill in, so there is very little about you for us to hold — and this page describes exactly what there is.
Two small values are kept in your browser's local storage, on your device. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
You can clear both at any time through your browser's settings for this site, and reopen the choice through “Cookie settings” in the footer.
This site is intended to be funded by advertising through Google AdSense. Advertising is not loaded unless you accept it. If you reject, or have not yet answered, no advertising script runs and no advertising cookie is set.
If you accept, Google and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies on your device to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can review and change your Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com , and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites . Withdrawing consent here stops further advertising scripts from loading; cookies already set can be removed through your browser.
There is no analytics or tracking script on this site. We do not use Google Analytics, we do not build profiles of readers, and we do not sell or share data with anyone, because we do not collect it.
The site is served by a hosting provider which, like any web server, processes technical data needed to deliver a page — your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. This is handled by the host for security and delivery, is retained for a limited period, and is not used by us to identify or profile readers.
Schedule information is fetched from the NHL's public API when the site is built, not from your browser while you read. Loading a page here does not cause a request to the league on your behalf.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and port personal data held about you, to object to processing, and to complain to your national data protection authority. In practice we hold no personal data about you that would allow us to identify you: the preferences above live on your device, and we have no database of readers. If you have a question about data held by our hosting provider, write to us and we will point you to the right place.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when. Material changes to how advertising works will reset the cookie choice so you are asked again.
